Senior Accountant
PURPOSE
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing financial activities, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and overseeing inventory-related accounting functions. You will be responsible for maintaining comprehensive financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You will work closely with cross functional teams to ensure accurate cost accounting, budgeting and financial analysis. This role will support manufacturing and distribution efficiencies and streamline cost accounting processes.
RESPONSABILITIES

Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts.

Manage and reconcile inventory accounts and related financial transactions.

Establish and ensure compliance to controls regarding inventory including cycle counts.
- Monitor costs, inventory levels, and production efficiencies to identify variances and implements corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial analysis.
- Oversee compliance with accounting regulations and standards.
- Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field; with CPA certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Proficiency in cost accounting principles, budgeting techniques, and financial analysis methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Bilingual in French and English, written and spoken.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
