The Role:

At World of Books, we’re on a mission to maximize our online visibility and drive organic traffic as we scale our international business. We’re looking for an experienced SEO Manager to lead our efforts in optimizing our digital presence. If you’re a technical expert with a passion for SEO and a desire to make a significant impact, this role is for you.

You will be responsible for shaping and executing our SEO strategy to enhance our online visibility. Working closely with the Head of Acquisition Marketing and the Lead Product Manager for D2C, you’ll ensure that SEO is seamlessly integrated into our product development process. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is highly technical, with a strong foundation in on-page SEO, and eager to drive growth in a fast-paced, international environment.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead SEO Strategy: Develop and implement an SEO strategy with a focus on technical SEO, on-page optimization, and link-building.
  • Optimize Performance: Conduct site audits, resolve technical SEO issues, and collaborate with the product team to enhance site architecture.
  • Drive Growth: Lead keyword research and analysis to identify opportunities that inform content strategy and product development.
  • Monitor and Report: Track SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, and SEMRush, providing actionable insights.
  • Collaborate for Success: Work with the design team to execute A/B tests for UX optimization and stay ahead of SEO trends and algorithm updates.
  • Manage Relationships: Oversee relationships with external agencies or consultants to ensure strategic alignment and execution.

 

Who We’re Looking For:

A commercially aware SEO professional with a self-starter attitude and a track record of success in digital acquisition marketing. You should be comfortable in a fast-growing, ambitious environment and have the ability to build strong relationships across the business.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an SEO Manager or similar role, preferably in an e-commerce environment with a large product catalog.
  • Hands-on experience with the Shopify platform is highly desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of technical SEO, on-page SEO, and link-building strategies.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with the ability to make technical recommendations.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and conversion rate optimization (CRO).
  • Experience with SQL and data visualization tools, such as Tableau.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, self-starter attitude.

Established in 2013, to buy unwanted books, CD’s DVD’s, Blu-ray and console games directly from consumers via its market leading app. The smart technology enables consumers to use their mobile device to scan a product bar code or to simply tap in an ISBN code from a book for an instant valuation.  

 

Ziffit sells all its books, CDs, DVDs and games via World of Books own website or partner websites such as Amazon and eBay.
