PureGym are embarking on an ambitious growth strategy over the next few years. This role will be at the forefront; coordinating marketing campaigns across the UK and Europe to support over 300 new gym openings, over 200 refurbishments and supporting an estate of over 600 gyms across 3 countries. The role is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in both digital and offline marketing, aimed at driving acquisitions and retention of members.

The Role

Reporting into the Senior Local Marketing Manager, this role will work with the wider Marketing team in developing a culture of best practice and continuous improvement. Your responsibilities:

  • Build and execute marketing plans to launch new gyms, support and re-launch refurbishment gyms as well as supporting open gyms with Local Marketing activity.
  • Write media briefs for new and refurbished gyms, propose activity and channel mix to senior team to deliver against objectives.
  • Formulate marketing plan & performance reports for clubs and senior team to showcase local marketing activity.
  • Key point of contact for the existing estate providing support for them with requirements such as local events.
  • Plan social media for new and refurbishment clubs, including the creation of assets.
  • Manage and brief agencies and third parties such as media agencies, photographers and videographers.
  • Working closely with our in-house studio on all artwork including briefing and proofreading all artwork templates.
  • Maintain and update club pages on the website.
  • Budget tracking & Invoice management – ensure local documents are maintained and costs controlled
  • Support with the adaption of national campaigns and promotions to tailor and bring to life locally.
  • Assist on ensuring brand consistency/ messaging across all local campaigns
  • Monitor competitor activity and share this with the team on a monthly basis
  • Review and monitor member feedback and propose initiatives to aid retention
  • Any other ad hoc duties

 

 

The Person

  • Is passionate about marketing and keen to learn in a fast- paced environment.
  • Experience of local marketing ideally gained from retail, hospitality or fitness is preferable but not necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills and can effectively build strong working relationships across marketing, agencies and other areas of a business.
  • Has the ability to manage numerous projects in a fast paced environment, with the proven ability to work well under pressure and under tight deadlines.
  • Has great time management and organisational skills, including good attention to detail.
  • Happy to 'pitch-in' to help out the wider team as necessary.
  • Has flexibility and ability to travel using own car to sites across the UK.
