We have a great role at Gamma to join our Group Risk team. As Group Risk Manager you’ll be responsible for developing the firm's risk management framework, as well as providing continuous independent oversight and challenging risk management activities within the firm.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support the development of Gamma's risk culture.
  • Provide guidance and support regarding risk management activities.
  • Facilitate risk sessions to enable risk identification with functional leads.
  • Conduct risk assessments with various functional leads, ensuring they are identifying and assessing risks appropriately, challenging where inappropriate
  • Ensure risk actions are tracked and data is up to date
  • Embed yourself within relevant processes and structures to ensure you are aware of potential high-risk activities.
  • Develop appropriate training and knowledge sharing activities to encourage the business to engage with risk activities.
  • Report on progress of risk management activities within Gamma.

 

What you’ll need 🚀

You will be pragmatic, collaborative, and eager to evolve risk management practices within Gamma. Gamma has a strong culture of innovation; you will want to ensure we grow whilst remaining aware of the risks faced. You will want to drive your area of responsibility, recognising this is a developing area for Gamma.

  • Proven experience of risk management, internal or external audit
  • A strong understanding of risk and control is expected
  • You have technical skills in assurance and experience conducting risk assessments.
  • You can assess the design and effectiveness of controls.
  • Professional Qualification (IRM, CII, ACCA, ACA etc) would be highly regarded, but not essential.
  • It is desirable you have worked within a technology driven company.
