General Assistant - 6 Months FTC

Role: General Housing Assistant - Domestic
Location: Park Gate, Locksheath
Contract: 12 hrs/week, 6-month Fixed Term Contract
Shift Pattern: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 11:30 - 13:30, 16:00 - 18:00

About the Role:

Never underestimate the power of a friendly face and a home-cooked meal. This is a varied role, where the wellbeing of our residents is always a priority. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning and maintaining communal areas (e.g., surfaces, vacuuming, and dusting)
• Understanding and complying with COSHH regulations, working within relevant legislation and policies
• Reporting maintenance issues promptly
• Managing cleaning equipment stock, ensuring supplies are replenished and stored securely
• Assisting with food preparation and service
• Attending staff meetings and training sessions for continuous development

Requirements:

• Eligibility to work in the UK
• Two satisfactory employment references
• A Standard DBS check (paid for by Abbeyfield)
