Hill House is a residential care home, set in the beautiful, picturesque Devon countryside. Boasting 30 rooms, Hill House provides residential and Dementia friendly care to its residents. There are stunning grounds and views, as well as a hairdressers on site, comfortable, homely rooms for residents and a large communal lounge to relax in.

The role of Maintenance Operative at Hill House is a based on between 24-30 contracted hours per week. We are able to offer flexibility on the shift times and days worked to the successful candidate.

Some main duties of role:

  1. All repairs are carried out effectively and quickly, and to a good standard.
  2. Work is carried out safely, with adherence to relevant building and construction related regulations.
  3. Readily identifiable issues are reported and addressed to minimise impact, risk and damage.
  4. Report any emergencies to Property Services
  5. To complete and maintain the day to day repairs and maintenance of the building and its environment. This will include painting and decoration to residents’ rooms
  6. To ensure strict confidentiality in all matters
  7. Minor adjustments to windows, doors, restrictors and door closers
  8. To maintain the day to day repairs and maintenance of the buildings and their environment
  9. To ensure all relevant documentation is kept up to date and completed

 

About You:

  • As the Maintenance Operative at Hill House; you must have good general property maintenance knowledge and skills, and experience in providing maintenance services to other clients.
  • Be able to communicate and interact well with people, be able to read and write to a good standard, and computer literate.
  • Have good knowledge of relevant health and safety and trade regulations, and have the ability to assess and manage risk.
