Location: Girton, Cambridge
Contract: 32 hours per week

Shift Pattern:

• Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday
• Week 2: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Hourly Rate: £14.73

Abbeyfield is excited to announce a rare opportunity as part of our Whispers Restaurant relaunch. We are looking for a creative kitchen professional who wants to make their mark in a collaborative environment, supported by our new management team. In this role, you will spearhead our kitchen team to deliver high-quality food while maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment that ensures a delightful dining experience for our customers.

Whispers Restaurant, located on the grounds of Abbeyfield's Girton Green service, offers a variety of delicious options, including tea, coffee, homemade bakes, light bites, a seasonal lunch menu, a weekly fish & chips service, and a traditional roast dinner on Sundays. Our offerings cater to both Abbeyfield residents and the local community.

About You:

• Efficient and Diligent: You thrive in a busy kitchen environment, effectively collaborating with your team across all sections.
• Innovative: You have previous experience creating creative dishes that foster community and bring people together.
• Health and Safety Standards: You will implement and adhere to kitchen and menu SOPs while maintaining all Health and Safety standards, including COSHH, EOH, and HACCP legislation.
• Leadership: You will lead and support the kitchen staff, training and developing each individual to maximize their potential.
