Role: Maintenance Operative - Pool & Spa Area
Location: Girton, Cambridge
Contract: 35 hrs p/w two week rota, covering alternate weekends

Pay rate: £12.75 - £12.85

Working as part of the maintenance team, your main area of focus will be the onsite pool and spa facilities, whilst supporting residents and staff with general ad hoc maintenance tasks.

The Role of Maintenance Operative

  • Testing and adjusting chemical PH balance of swimming pool and Jacuzzi water, using correct treatments.
  • Maintain and change filters
  • Daily deep clean of Spa areas
  • Routine testing within policy and procedure for fire checks and relevant health & safety policies
  • Carrying out minor repairs in tenanted flats and in leasehold flats where required.e.g. replace light bulbs, hang pictures/mirrors etc. 
  • Carrying out day to day operational repairs and maintenance of the building, its fixtures and fittings and its equipment. This will include painting and decoration to rented flats as they become void..
  • Placing orders for repair and maintenance material, tools and related goods.
  • Ensuring all relevant paperwork and documentation is kept current, that SOPs are updated as circumstance or legislation dictates.

About You

  • Experienced within a Pool/Spa setting
  • Ability to communicate and interact well with people.
  • Works well as an individual AND as part of a team.
  • Able to carry out all aspects of the role to the highest standard at all times.
  • Possess general DIY skills / experience.
  • Ability to think outside of the box, and to exercise initiative

Please note this role will require eligibility to work in the UK, two satisfactory employment references and a Standard DBS check, the cost of which will be met by Abbeyfield.
